AMAG Technology Hosts 7th Annual Security Engineering Symposium

Torrance, CA, March 10, 2008 – AMAG Technology hosted its 7th annual Security Engineering Symposium February 24-27 at Sanibel Island Resort and Spa in Fort Myers, Florida. Approximately 85 security engineers attended.

Ten of AMAG’s best-in-breed partners presented and demonstrated their perspective technologies: Axis Communications, Bioscrypt, HID Global including Fargo, Imprivata, Intransa, IR, NEC, Stentophone/Zenitel, Vidient and Winsted.

AMAG Technology President Bob Sawyer and Koffel Associates, Principal, Shayne Bates. Bates was the keynote speaker at AMAG’s Security Engineering Symposium.Keynote speaker, Shayne Bates, Principal, Koffel Associates, discussed security convergence and how important it is for IT and physical security to collaborate to provide the best risk assessment and security to the customer.

AMAG demonstrated its Symmetry Security Management System with Symmetry Video Management and Symmetry Edge Network Video Server. Symmetry provides customers with a deeply integrated security solution, and is built on an open platform that allows customers to integrate with different building or security systems.

“Each year, we are reminded of the tremendous wealth of knowledge and experience that exists in the security industry,” said AMAG’s Senior Business Development Manager, Jody Ross. “We are pleased to provide a forum for the industry leaders to learn, exchange ideas and network at one event.”

AMAG and HID sponsored the 7th Annual Golf Scramble at The Dunes Golf & Tennis Club in Sanibel Island. The winning team included: Robert DeGrazio, Robert Derector Telecommunications, Jeffrey Venter, Ducibella, Venter & Santore, Jeff Young, Zenitel and Jody Ross, AMAG Technology.

The winners of the AMAG/HID Golf Scramble were: Robert DeGrazio, Robert Derector Telecommunications; Jeff Young, Zenitel; Jody Ross, AMAG Technology; and Jeffrey Venter, Ducibella, Venter & Santore (last). James Reno, HID, (third person) sponsored the event; Bob Sawyer, AMAG Technology President (fourth person).
