AMAG Technology offers five advanced software products scaled to meet Access Control
and Security Management needs ranging from small, remote facilities to multi-national
organizations and everything in between. Each is compatible with Windows XP, Vista Business, and Vista Ultimate operating systems. AMAG builds upon open architecture standards to ensure interoperability
with a wide range of peripherals and information sharing with database brands like SQL®, Oracle®, and SAP®. AMAG software offers an easy and affordable migration path
between each product to preserve the value of your investments.
AMAG software is designed and tested in accordance with the latest Microsoft style
guides for Windows XP, Vista Business, and Vista Ultimate, and has passed the appropriate independent compatibility tests.
AMAG software is always fully tested before release and is always completely backwards
and forwards compatible with other versions. You can start on the smallest single site system and migrate to the largest multiple location system as your needs change
with no operator retraining or complex reconfiguration.
One of the strengths of AMAG software is the ability to handle multiple buildings,
sites and locations. Communication can be across the LAN or WAN or using dial up
modems. Increasingly organizations are creating multiple facility access control systems across their whole enterprise. This centralized command and control reduces
cost and often creates an increased level of physical security, particularly for
small facilities without on site security guards outside normal working hours.
In addition to the very wide range of built in system features that are provided
as standard with all AMAG software editions, AMAG provides a wide range of additional
software modules. These include Digital Video Management, CCTV Switching, Biometrics,
Smart Card Management, Intercom, Intrusion Alarms Management, and much more. Each
of these modules has been carefully integrated to work with any of the five access
control and security management products AMAG offers.
All five products use the powerful Microsoft® SQL Server database. Symmetry Business, AMAG's most cost-effective system, and Symmetry Professional, AMAG's
most widely used system, use Microsoft's SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000),
a royalty-free data engine built and based on core SQL Server technology.
