The newest Symmetry GUEST and CONNECT releases improve how Access Groups and PIN Codes are managed.
Access Group Assignment by Date and Time
Symmetry CONNECT now enables Access Groups to be activated and expired based on both date and time. This enhancement offers access control representatives more precise control over access assignments, ensuring that identities (users) have access only for the necessary duration, enhancing security by preventing unauthorized access after the required period.
This functionality:
- Can be enabled or disabled via the General Configurations options
- Allows for a CONNECT Administrator to define the default activation and expiration times
- Allow Access Control Representative (ACR) and Access Control Representative Managers (ACRM) to overwrite the default times
Visitor PIN Code Assignment
Symmetry GUEST now allows receptionists to manage visitor PIN codes. With this update, receptionists receive an automatically generated PIN code during check-in. This code can be communicated to the visitor or updated as needed, granting access to areas controlled by card plus PIN readers.
This functionality:
- Can be enabled or disabled via for Screen Configuration by building and visit type
- Allows for pin code length to be set
- Receptionist can view and edit the PIN Code at check-in
- Receptionists can view the PIN code via the visit history
Coming Soon…
- Ability to associate Access Groups with a Company
- Ability to assign an Identity to preform audits
