AMAG Technology is excited to announce it now offers HID Wallet.
HID Wallet is a cloud-based solution that integrates Symmetry Access Control with the HID Origo™ platform to issue wallet-based access credentials directly to a user’s mobile device or wearable.
Users can easily provision the secure credentials through Symmetry and use them with HID Signo and most HID iCLASS readers already in their environment. The result is a modern, mobile-first access experience that’s secure, easier to manage, and more convenient for users.
HID Wallet is designed to work seamlessly with familiar credential formats:
- Out-of-the-box support for 26-bit, 35-bit, 37-bit, and 40-bit formats
- HID Wallet credentials match your existing physical formats, reducing complexity
- Card Number and Facility Codes are automatically assigned
- HID Origo ensures that each credential is unique and allows you to configure number ranges
You can also issue credentials to mobile phones, Apple Watch, and Google Wear OS devices.
Each device gets a unique card number, so users can manage and revoke them independently if needed.
With HID Wallet, users can define how their mobile credentials should look and behave. Also, they can define a default format for auto-approved credentials, ensuring that when auto-approval is turned on, users receive the right type of credential every time.
HID Wallet is designed to fit within existing infrastructure, not replace it.
HID Signo® readers are compatible “out of the box” with Wallet credentials. A straightforward configuration update allows readers to retrieve the correct credential from the Wallet.
Many HID iCLASS and older readers can support Wallet credentials with configuration changes, firmware updates or add-on hardware. For legacy models, AMAG will work with HID to confirm compatibility and identify next steps to get an organization wallet-ready.
