AMAG Technology today introduced Symmetry CompleteView V8, a major platform release led by Enhanced Search, a powerful new capability purpose-built for forensic video investigation. The release also introduces the Hardware Replacement Wizard to simplify server replacement, and arrives alongside a significantly expanded technology partner ecosystem that reinforces AMAG’s commitment to open, flexible video management solutions.
Enhanced Search is the headline capability of Symmetry CompleteView V8, designed for investigators who need to move fast. Using a simple When, Where, What workflow, investigators can search by person appearance, clothing, vehicle type, or color across their entire camera network, with results returned in seconds and one-click access to relevant matching footage. Metadata retention is automatically tied to existing camera video retention policies, so there is nothing additional to configure or manage.
Symmetry CompleteView V8 addresses two of the most time-intensive challenges security teams face: locating relevant footage during an investigation and replacing failed hardware with minimal operational disruption.
The Hardware Replacement Wizard simplifies replacing recording servers, whether due to a hardware failure or a planned refresh. It confirms that the new hardware is ready, pushes the full configuration automatically, and stops the process if anything isn’t right, protecting systems from partial or broken states.
The Design Tool Wizard has been completely redesigned with an improved user experience and powerful new capabilities. Enhancements include advanced metadata planning controls, automatic storage calculations, multi-imager camera support, and an integrated quote request system that connects directly with the sales team. Symmetry CompleteView V8 is available now to all customers. Customers can download the release and access migration resources through the AMAG Partner Portal.
In addition, AMAG also highlighted continued ecosystem momentum, including an expanded integration ecosystem and 52 newly certified camera models across the FLIR, Vicon, RealLink, Bosch, and Axis platforms.
