Technical Support After Hours Answering Service ChangeTech support

The Technical Support Department will move to a new after-hours technical support answering service for Platinum SSA and 24/7 customers starting mid-October.

The new answering service integrates with Zendesk, AMAG Technology’s ticketing system, which will provide a more streamlined approach and better ways to route and track after-hours technical support.

Platinum Site Support Agreement (SSA) customers or customers with 24/7 support can call 1 (800) 874-1091, and their call will be routed to an on-call Tier 3 engineer. Don’t have 24/7 support? Our customers can now purchase 24/7 support a la carte. Contact your sales representative for more information.

AMAG Releases Symmetry CONNECT and Symmetry GUEST V1.87.10

The newest Symmetry GUEST and CONNECT releases improve how Access Groups and PIN Codes are managed.

Access Group Assignment by Date and Time

Symmetry CONNECT now enables Access Groups to be activated and expired based on both date and time. This enhancement offers access control representatives more precise control over access assignments, ensuring that identities (users) have access only for the necessary duration, enhancing security by preventing unauthorized access after the required period.

This functionality:

  • Can be enabled or disabled via the General Configurations options
  • Allows for a CONNECT Administrator to define the default activation and expiration times
  • Allow Access Control Representative (ACR) and Access Control Representative Managers (ACRM) to overwrite the default times

New Partner Portal Delivers Information, News and More

This is an image of the Partner Portal.AMAG Technology is excited to announce the launch of a brand-new Partner Portal. The new platform provides one place for all customers to access important resources such as registering for Symmetry software, accessing the Learning Management System, datasheets, price lists and technical documentation. Partners can view the Portal on their mobile devices so it is easy to access while at a customer site.

AMAG Technology customers can request a login at https://portal.amag.com/. Access to the site will be granted within 24-48 hours. The link is also available on www.amag.com.

Microsoft® Security Updates & Symmetry Systems Requirements

The Microsoft® Security Update statements are available on the Partner website. Go to Technical Bulletins/Microsoft Security Updates and look for the September 2024 versions. Microsoft Security Updates are available for:

  • v8.x
  • v9.x
  • Hosted Systems

These updates document the Microsoft patches that have been evaluated against supported Windows and Server platforms for Symmetry versions v8.x, v9.x and hosted systems. We are no longer updating the V7.0.1 patch testing due to Microsoft withdrawing free OS support.
