The newest versions of Symmetry CONNECT Identity Management and Symmetry GUEST Visitor Management include enhancements that extend users’ ability to edit visits, print badges, request access, and ensure that CONNECT and Symmetry are in sync with each other.
Ability to edit checked-in visits with Symmetry GUEST
Symmetry GUEST has been updated to allow users to update a number of fields including the departure date and time after the visit has been checked-in. This allows users to extend a visit without the need to create an additional visit. When made, these changes will be updated in the access control system. In addition to this functionality, a new visitor audit report has been created that will display any changes made to a visit.
User Experience improvements to the Access-Request screens in Symmetry CONNECT
A number of user experience improvements have been made to the access request process of CONNECT. These updates include:

Allow for a single flow regardless of if the request is for the user themself or on behalf of another identity. This also brings the flow in line with the credential request making it more intuitive for users.

Users now have the ability to view their past requests and see the status of outstanding requests. This will help reduce repeated requests.

The access request screen has been updated to be automatically filtered by the user building. This will display the access groups most likely to be requested by the user and speed up the process. Please note that this will only occur if access groups have been associated with a building.
CONNECT Badge Enhancements
Badge creation in CONNECT has been updated and includes:

The ability to support 300 or 600 DPI badges, allowing for badges printed via CONNECT to take advantage of the capabilities of higher-end printers.

Custom fonts can now be applied to the badge, allowing for badges to better meet an organization’s branding needs.

Improved identity photo quality allows for a higher-quality photo printed on the badge.
Ability to resync an Access Control Integration in Symmetry CONNECT
The CONNECT Access Control Integration menu has been updated to allow for the complete resynchronization of an integration. This process will verify that the current values in the access control system match what is in CONNECT. If a mismatch is identified, the values in the access control system will be overwritten with what is in CONNECT.
